About ASWARA
The National Arts Academy (ASK) was established in 1994 under the Ministry of Culture, Arts, and Tourism of Malaysia, and later elevated to an institution of higher learning in arts, culture, and heritage through the National Academy of Arts, Culture, and Heritage Act 2006 (ACT 653). It was then recognized as the National Academy of Arts, Culture, and Heritage (ASWARA) on August 1, 2006. ASWARA officially began its function as a National Body in 2006 [ACT 653] and was known as the National Academy of Arts, Culture, and Heritage Federal Statutory Body starting from October 1, 2008.
